I created this tumblr because I always end up browsing for hours before I do a new manicure, and I wanted the world's best nail art available in one place. I'm not into the average art you can get at any corner nail salon, I like the new, crazy, interesting nail art. It's the 21st century, your nails shouldn't look like the 90s!
Most of the nails posted are not mine. All nails have links back to their original sources.
If you're new to tumblr, you should know that the "fuck yeah" in this blog's title is not meant to offend--fuck yeah blogs are a tumblr phenomenon intended to indicate that the blog is solely dedicated to that single subject.

Recently in Madrid I saw a drawing by Picasso, which I particularly loved because the woman in it was crying neon tears. Imagine crying neon tears, I wouldn’t stop.

“I will be painting nails (for free!) at the Tate Modern on Saturday the 24th March. I’ll be doing nail designs inspired by the amazing work of Yayoi Kusama, from her exhibition which is currently on show at the Tate Modern. The event is being put on by Tate Collectives and there will be lots of interesting things to come and do and see on the day, including a silent disco, so come along and see what it’s all about! Here are a few designs I’ve done based on Kusama’s work, some of which I’ll be offering on the 24th!” (via BOOM NAILS: KUSAMA NAIL ART FOR THE TATE MODERN)

Let’s go Downtown!
so, as you can tell, i am CLEARLY obsessed with ‘shine of the times’ as i have used it on the last 3 manis that i did. i can’t stop. it’s just TOO. AWESOME. it changes appearance based on the base colour so i’ve been having so much fun ~experimenttinnngg~
today i used tape for the first time. OBVIOUSLY i used a quick dry base colour, ‘midnight affair’ from revlon. you know, i REALLY like revlon. i know they’re the lame loser friend of essie and OPI, but they have really nice colours now! they’re TRYING guys!! and the polishes are less viscous (lol, my nerd is showing) that the other ones, which i like. UNDERDOG FOR THE WIN!
p.s. my inspiration for this was Frank Stella, a famous minimialist American painter from the 60s & 70s. check it yo:
color maze, frank stella. although this painting is actually bigger than me in real life!
Frank Stella is one of my favorite artists. Shards III (at the Detroit Institute of Arts) is one of my personal faves, I should do a Stella-inspired mani too!
