I created this tumblr because I always end up browsing for hours before I do a new manicure, and I wanted the world's best nail art available in one place. I'm not into the average art you can get at any corner nail salon, I like the new, crazy, interesting nail art. It's the 21st century, your nails shouldn't look like the 90s!
Most of the nails posted are not mine. All nails have links back to their original sources.
If you're new to tumblr, you should know that the "fuck yeah" in this blog's title is not meant to offend--fuck yeah blogs are a tumblr phenomenon intended to indicate that the blog is solely dedicated to that single subject.

Opi quarter of a cent-cherry base with Essie matte about you topcoat and then the opi color again on the tips.
i see this done with black all the time and i wanted to try it with my new favorite red.
Colors: Lira (Borghese), Brownstone (China Glaze), Little Brown Dress (Essie), Hey Sailor (China Glaze)
I’ve been catching up on Pretty Little Liars episodes, and I realized those chicas have some really fun nail art! Naturally, tutorial brain took over. Hanna’s leopard print manicure in “Let the Water Hold Me Down” (episode 16 in season 2 of Pretty Little Liars) is really easy to recreate!
Start by painting all your nails with a base coat. Then, use a creme like Hey Sailor (China Glaze) to paint some of your nails a solid red color. If you look at Hanna’s nails, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way her nails are painted, so don’t stress about which nails are red, and which ones aren’t.
Use a gold foil like Lira (Borghese) to paint the nails that will have the leopard print pattern. Once that is dry, use my leopard print tutorial to finish the look. Use a coppery bright brown like Brownstone (China Glaze) to plop on leopard spots. Then, with a dotting tool or toothpick, use a dark brown like Little Brown Dress (Essie) to draw parenthesis-like shapes around the spots. Lastly, fill in the extra gaps between your leopard spots with small dots/blobs. Check out the full leopard print tutorial for more detailed directions.
Once all your nails are dry, seal everything in with your favorite top coat!
If you’ve noticed any nail art looks on Pretty Little Liars that you want to recreate on your own nails, let me know (in the comments or via the ask box) which episode the nail art is in, and I’ll see what I can do about a tutorial. Even better is if you can point me to a screencap of a particular nail art design!
I’ve been noticing the Liars’ awesome nail art as well!
My nails at the moment.
I’m not sure about everyone else but uh.. Fire is freaking hard to draw. However, I wanted to do my own version of the Girl on Fire nails, so I present to you fire nails for the artistically challenged!
I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Black Heart, then topped it with a coat of Essie Matte About You (which I’m quickly running out of :( ). Once that was dry I took scotch tape and cut tiny triangles out of it to make jagged zigzags/spikes. I put the tape on the back of my hand first so it’s not sticky, then I put it on my nail, painted over it with a coat of China Glaze Riveting, then I peeled the tape off before letting it dry.
Also, how amazing are black matte nails? And Riveting is friggin’ gorgeous. I’ll do a legit review of it sometime in the future.
Riveting is from China Glaze’s “Colors of the Capitol” Hunger Games collection. Sold out in most places I’ve seen, but you might find it in a beauty supply store still. I’d like to see this mani done with Riveting over Stone Cold, a matte black glitter from the same collection, because I imagined Katniss’s “girl on fire” nails being very glittery when I read the book. (All Lacquered Up has great swatches of the entire collection, for those who are curious.)
Furthermore, putting the tape on your skin before using it on your mani is an excellent tip for people interested in trying tape manis!
